Follicular Unit Extraction is most widely used and the most reliable method of hair transplant being utilized for the permanent and scar-less restoration of hair. FUE is so effective surgical method that it is impossible to distinguish transplanted hair from natural hair. Results are natural and undetectable.
The procedure is performed in the OPD under Local Anaesthesia. Anaesthesia is given to prevent any discomfort to the patient during the procedure.
FUE is the method of extraction donor hair directly from donor site in a follicular unit hair transplant procedure. An instrument is used to make small circular incisions in the skin around a follicular unit while separating it from the surrounding tissue. The follicular unit is directly extracted from the scalp leaving a small open hole.
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) is a procedure where hair is transplanted from the permanent zone, the area in the back and sides of the scalp where hair is more resistant to balding, to the bald or balding areas of the scalp. This is accomplished using naturally-occurring groups of 1, 2, 3, or 4 hairs, called follicular units.
The procedure is done in the OPD under local anaethesia. Anaesthesia is given to prevent any discomfort to the patient during the procedure.
After the patient’s scalp is anesthetized, the surgeon removes a strip of tissue from the donor area, an area within the permanent zone, and, once extracted, the donor strip is cut into many individual follicular units using microscopic dissection techniques. As these follicular unit grafts are being prepared, the surgeon makes tiny holes in the scalp, called recipient sites, where the grafts are placed.
Hairs from the head area are generally used for transplantation purposes. However patients sometimes do not have enough hair on their heads to achieve the desired result. In such cases it is possible to transplant body hairs, as such hairs are very similar to head hairs in structure and quality. Hairs may be taken from the legs, the arms, the stomach, the chest, the back, the armpits or even the face. Even beard hairs may under certain circumstances be used.
Alternatively, men interested in getting a defined beard can also undergo body hair transplant to the beard to get what they want.
These were the things we were taught to live with for life, but finally we have the answer to loosing a mark on the body, be it a birthmark or a self inflicted tattoo.
Depending on the size and color of your tattoo, the number of treatments will vary. Your tattoo may be removed in two to four visits, though it may take as many as 10 more sessions. You should schedule a consultation, during which time a trained professional will evaluate your personal situation and advise you on the process.
Treatment with the laser varies from patient to patient depending on the age, size, and type of tattoo (amateur or professional). The color of the patient's skin, as well as the depth to which the tattoo pigment extends, will also affect the removal technique.
laser tattoo removal has become much more effective with very little risk of scarring. Laser treatment is often safer than many traditional methods such as excision, dermabrasion or salabrasion (using moist gauze pads saturated with a salt solution to abrade the tattooed area) because of its unique ability to selectively treat pigment involved in the tattoo.
In many cases, certain colors may be more effectively removed than others. It is known that blue/black tattoos respond particularly well to laser treatment.
